Here is the second reason why bad things happen to good people.
If you are more concerned about what others are doing, this will leave you with less time, energy and space in your life to be careful or concerned about what you are doing. You will be more focused on others instead of you. Opportunities will be missed, accidents will happen and mistakes will be made when more of your attention is spent on the activities of others and not enough on your own. Your physical health will be at risk due to this type of stress, especially it is becomes a long term, ingrained pattern.
When you focus on taking care of you first, then you will have enough in reserve to serve others when they need your help.
