Sometimes my mind needs a framework to grasp concepts that seem to have been “downloaded” into awareness. I want to understand how they connect, how soul, spirit, and the Sacred Self relate to the body, and what it means to live in spiritual alignment. Maybe you feel the same. If so, what follows might be a helpful lens.
Your soul is the vast container of your essence: your knowledge, lived experience and wisdom. At the heart of your soul resides your Sacred Self, your purest expression of authenticity and divinity. This part of you is whole, untouched by wounds, fear, or limitation. It is the part of you that has always been and will always be.
Your spirit animates this wholeness. It’s the shared breath of existence that moves through you and beyond you to all living beings. It fuels your creativity, your vitality, your inspiration and it expresses itself through your body, the vessel that allows your soul and spirit to manifest in the physical world.
Your archetypes are symbolic. They are patterns that describe how you think, feel and act. They can be many things. Lessons, meaning, insights, inspiration, direction, guidance, messengers, teachers, signposts, wounds and triggers. Surrounding your soul space, at their best, are your personal archetypes. These archetypes have been either inadvertently or consciously developed. At their worst, immature, undeveloped, archetypes wait for you to transform them. When ignored or misunderstood, it’s as if they cross your soul’s threshold, creating emotional, mental, or physical turbulence to get your attention.
But.
At their core, every archetype contains a Sacred Self, or if you prefer, highest potential. By recognising the highest potential in each of your archetypes and accepting their potential as yours, you can transform them one by one. Transformed archetypes offer you wisdom, guidance and intuitive clarity. Even those archetypes that seem disruptive are trying to guide you back to your wholeness, asking to be acknowledged, reimagined, and then integrated. And when they are, they become guardians of your spirit, protectors of your vitality and your soul’s purpose.
Your energy, your life force and your spirit are one and the same. Your body knows when you’re out of alignment with your spirit. Your body is where all of this converges. It reflects what’s in your soul, carries your spirit, and alerts you when something is amiss. Pain, discomfort, tension are messengers not only of your body’s needs. It’s a call from your soul, asking for integration. On the other hand, grace and other Sacred Self energy states, are an indication of alignment and spiritual embodiment.
Spiritual alignment happens when your body, soul, and spirit function in harmony. When you listen to the wisdom of your soul, embody your spirit, and live from within the energy of your Sacred Self, you deepen your presence. You radiate authenticity. You become more connected to yourself, to others, and to life itself.
You might connect to your Sacred Self energy through stillness, through a felt sense in your body such as your heart, or through moments of knowing that surpass logic. And yes, you will always be distracted or pulled away from this state. But the way back is simple: pause, breathe, soften into your Sacred Self, and listen. Rest in the sanctuary of your soul space. Let your energy return to flow, not force.
You’ll know you’ve returned home when you choose to enter these Sacred Self Energy States. These qualities that you inhabit will ripple outward:
These states are accessible ways of being. And when you function from any one of these states, more often than not, something almost magical happens. You inspire Sacred Self energy in others. You help them recognise their highest potential. These energy states are contagious, so if you’re feeling out of kilter with the world, return to what’s eternal within. Breathe, listen, and trust the quiet pull of your soul calling you home into the driver’s seat of your soul that is your Sacred Self.
