The down side of being a terminal victim is that those who have helped you constantly remind you of it. Or they resent you because you refuse to acknowledge or be grateful for their assistance.

If you always depend on others to help you out, then you will always be indebted to those who helped you. I’m not talking about needing occasional help. Everyone needs help in difficult times. This type of dependence is very different.
