What is Your Like-Attracts-Like Manifestation Type?

You have a new manifestation on the go but it’s falling in a heap.

What type of manifestor are you?

What type of manifestor do you need to be? This time around.

Every dream, desire or goal, is unique so your approach to achieving each one needs to be different. If the manifestation process is not working for you, then your task is to identify your like-attracts-like Manifestation Type. You may stuck in a fixed identify. When you tailor your approach to suit each desire, then you’re more likely to achieve it.

Think about it. Your approach to manifesting an ideal partner needs to be different to manifesting your ideal career. You know the old saying. You can’t keep doing the same thing and expect different results. It applies to the manifestation process. You want different outcomes, so the same approach is not going to work.

How do you tailor your approach?

But first, a review of what is meant by “like attracts like” and how it conflicts with the idea that opposites attract.

Every new manifestation is a call for you to adopt a new Manifestation Type.
For every successful manifestation, you will need to adopt a new Manifestation Type.

“Like attracts like” forms the basis of the law of attraction. It’s embedded into the theory of the manifestation process. This is where people, places, situations and things with similar energies are drawn to each other. The law of attraction suggests that the type of thoughts, feelings, actions and attitudes you have will attract people, places and events that match yours, so this creates your reality. However, this conflicts with the idea that opposites attract. Which by the way, might also create your reality.

While people tend to seek out or be attracted to people, places, things and situations that are similar, they are also attracted to the opposite of who or what they desire. Seeking the opposite is a natural human urge to grow and learn about what you don’t know. It’s what your unconscious mind will do to lead you into taking ownership of your own shadow. That is, to integrate the good, the bad and the ugly disowned parts of your character. All of this creates an unconscious, internal conflict that can stand in the way of achieving your manifestation if you’re not aware of what’s happening.

How do you identify your like-attracts-like Manifestation Type and reduce the conflict at the same time? You know my go to answer. You’re going to use archetypes to do it.

Archetypes are universal patterns of thinking, feeling and acting. C G Jung proposed that archetypes reside in the collective unconscious, or universal mind. When you’re working with archetypes, imagine that you’re tapping into the wisdom of the universal mind to access and download archetypal information.

Here’s what I mean:

If you wanted to manifest an ideal partner, then you would choose an archetype that describes your ideal partner. Let’s say you’ve chosen the Companion Archetype.

Like attracts like:

⁃ You would think like a Companion thinks because that is what you want to attract.
⁃ You would act like a Companion because that is what you want to attract.
⁃ You would feel like a Companion because that is what you want to attract.

Eventually you would become a genuine Companion because you’ve embodied the Companion archetype.

What exactly am I talking about?

How do you embody the Companion archetype? How do you download it? How do you make the most of it? How do you dodge the worst of it?

To find out, you need to deconstruct the archetype. You need to identify your archetypal strengths and weaknesses. You can use the strengths to your advantage. By exposing the weaknesses you’re less likely to fall into in their trap.

Here’s how you can do it in six steps:

  • Hold your desire in mind. In this case you want to manifest your ideal partner.
  • Choose an archetype to describe what you want to attract. This archetype is your like-attract-like Manifestation Type for this desire. In this case the archetype is the Companion.
  • Download the archetype by deconstructing it. Brainstorm a list of 3 strengths, or positive word associations and 3 weaknesses, or negative word associations for each one. See the table below for an example of how to deconstruct an archetype. Tip: The more associations you make the more insights you’ll receive. Another tip: Ensure both lists are equal in number to avoid weighting your favour of one side over the other. One more tip: Keep adding words to both lists in equal measure once each week until you achieve your manifestation. For example:
Companion – Weaknesses and negative associationsCompanion – Strengths and positive associations
gives up on self and othersloyal to self and others
untrustworthy tenacious
betrays self and othersreliable
A deconstruction of the Companion archetype.
  • Record any insights you receive.
  • Let it mull for a week and watch what happens, noting any additional insights you receive during the week.
  • Add 3 negative and 3 positive words to your lists once each week – until you’ve achieved your manifestation – by brainstorming new strengths and weaknesses with each repetition. Note: You will need to produce new information each time. If it’s not new, then you’re repeating the same old story. Ask yourself why. How does it serve you? What does living out the same old story give you permission to do or not do? You don’t need to repeat the same old story, but if you do, then start acting like the archetype, in this case, the Companion. To change the same old story, act like the archetype. Affirmation: I am a Companion. It’s your like-attract-like Manifestation Type. When you act like a Companion, eventually you will think and feel like one. You will be a true companion.

If you wanted to manifest an ideal career, then you would choose an archetype that describes your ideal career. For example, you might choose the Entrepreneur archetype.

Like attracts like:

⁃ You would think like an Entrepreneur thinks because that is what you want to attract.
⁃ You would act like an Entrepreneur because that is what you want to attract.
⁃ You would feel like an Entrepreneur because that is what you want to attract.

How do you embody the Entrepreneur archetype? Use the previous exercise to embody your like-attracts-like Manifestation Type. In short, here it is again:

  1. Hold your desire in mind. In this case you want to manifest your ideal career.
  2. Choose an archetype to describe what you want to attract. This archetype is your like-attracts-like Manifestation Type for this manifestation. In this case it’s the Entrepreneur archetype.
  3. Deconstruct the archetype by brainstorming 3 strengths, or positive word associations and 3 weaknesses, or negative word associations for each one.
  4. Record any insights you receive.
  5. Let it mull for a week and watch what happens, noting any additional insights you receive during the week.
  6. Remember to add 3 new negative and 3 new positive words to your lists once each week until you’ve achieved your manifestation. You don’t need to repeat the same old story, and if you do, then start acting like an Entrepreneur, so that over time, you begin to think and feel like one. Remind yourself: I am an Entrepreneur. Then you will be a true Entrepreneur.

lacks visionvisionary
exploitive creative
disregards consequences courageous

See it.

Think it.

Feel it.

Act it.

Achieve it.

You don’t need to repeat the same old story if it’s not producing the desired results. If you find yourself repeating it, then change the story by acting like the appropriate archetype. You don’t need to get stuck in a fixed identify. Play the right Manifestation Type. Play the role so that you increase your opportunities for achievement.

Align yourself with the right archetype to produce like-attracts-like situations. The archetype needs to be a perfect match to achieve manifestation. Your like-attract-like Manifestation Type needs to be different for a every single manifestation because every desire is unique. Your Manifestation Type will change according to every dream, desire or goal.

Embody your Manifestation Type. Be aware of its weaknesses so you can reduce and even avoid the obstacles on the road to your manifestation. Draw on its strengths so you can use them to your advantage.

If you’re stuck, there’s a good chance you’re trapped in a fixed identity. Every desire is unique. Each one requires a different role. Every manifestation you attempt is a call for you to adopt a new Manifestation Type.
