Entering the energy of your Sacred Self allows you to engage with your personal archetypes from a place of clarity, authenticity, and alignment. Your Sacred Self is at the core of your soul. It transcends archetypal driven narratives and operates from your inner wisdom. When you function from this space, the communication with your personal archetypes becomes more intentional and transformative rather than reactive or fragmented.
The energy of your Sacred Self contains your core values and therefore, your truth. This sacred energy allows you to interpret archetypal messages without distortion from fear or self-sabotage.

Entering the energy of your Sacred Self means your actions and choices reflect your core values more than your unconscious conditioning. Sacred Self energy gives you access to more reliable insights into how your archetypes shape your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours than without it. This means that instead of being unconsciously influenced by archetypal patterns, you engage with them deliberately, so archetypes like the Saboteur archetype can shift from being obstacles to allies when approached from the energy of your Sacred Self.
In the energy of your Sacred Self, you experience integration rather than projection. Instead of projecting archetypal energies outward, for example, by seeing the Saboteur only in others, you recognise this presence within and integrate it consciously.

Here are some journal prompts to help you enter the energy of your Sacred Self and guidelines to engage with your archetypes:
- What does the energy of my Sacred Self feel like? Describe it using sensory details or metaphors.
- When do I feel most connected to my Sacred Self? What activities, states of mind, or environments foster this connection?
- How can I intentionally invoke the energy of my Sacred Self before engaging with my archetypes? Consider rituals, affirmations, or reflective practices such as the following:
Close your eyes and take a deep, slow breath in… and gently exhale. Feel the space around you soften as you settle into this moment. Take another breath in and out as you let this softening gently flow through your body.
Bring your awareness inward, to your heart, and into the centre of your being. Open your heart to experience the sensation of warm, radiant light to glow from within. This is the essence of your Sacred Self. Pure, whole, and limitless.
With each inhale, breathe in calming peace. With each exhale, gently let go of any tension.
Rest in this presence for a few more breaths, feeling the energy of your true, Sacred Self expand outward from your heart, filling your mind, hands and feet.
When you’re ready, gently open your eyes, carrying this energy with you into your dialogue with archetypes.
Here are some guiding questions for engaging your personal archetypes from within the energy of your Sacred Self:
- What happens when I dialogue (for example) with the Saboteur archetype1 from my Sacred Self instead of from discomfort, pain or fear? How does the narrative shift? What is the message?
- How does my Saboteur archetype behave when I hold space for it from my Sacred Self? What does it teach me about protection, fear, or unmet needs?
- What archetype seeks transformation today, and how can my Sacred Self facilitate that transformation?
- What values does my Sacred Self remind me of when facing internal conflict? How does it help me integrate opposing forces within?
- What does authenticity feel like when expressed through my Sacred Self? How does it guide my daily actions?
Archetypes can sometimes feel conflicting, but the energy of your Sacred Self provides a vantage point where the role of your developed and undeveloped archetypes make sense in the grander scheme of learning, growth and transformation.
- You can apply this prompt to any archetype. ↩︎
