Your Broken Archetypes Need You to Heal Them

At the heart of your soul is your true Self. If you really knew your Self, if you recognised your true, Sacred Self, then you wouldn’t need to people please, strive for perfection or wrestle with imposter syndrome. You wouldn’t need to prove anything. You wouldn’t need to subscribe to the illusion of youth. You wouldn’t need to ignore your inner wisdom. You would put down these burdens, rest in the sanctuary of your true, Sacred Self, and live your life from there.

Your true, Sacred Self is at the centre of your soul around which your archetypes are grouped. By now, you know that your true, Sacred Self is pure and unadulterated1 so you don’t need to heal your true, Sacred Self 2. You might think that your Self needs healing, but no, you need only rest in the sanctuary of your Sacred Self and function from there. It’s called integrating your archetypes. Left broken, the pieces of your archetypes start to pile up around your soul and interfere with the true nature of your Sacred Self. When you start to heal your archetypes, you can begin to function from your true, Sacred Self.

Your broken archetypes just want you to make them whole.
Archetypes are a never-ending jigsaw puzzle representing different part of your personality.

Think of each archetype like this. Each one is a never-ending jigsaw puzzle representing different parts of your personality. If you’ve been fairly active on your path to Self-realisation, then of course, not all of your archetypes will need to heal. Some of them may be whole, or close to whole, while some will be fragmented. Others may have taken up residence in your body, soul or spirit. They’re the ones that are causing you to experience tension, stress, exhaustion, anxiety, discomfort, pain, or even physical illness.

When you experience any one of these emotions3 then you know you are experiencing the true nature of your Sacred Self. When you experience emotions along the lines of those below, then you know it’s your broken archetypes calling out to you for healing and integration.

Your broken archetypes will try to get your attention through some version or other of pain or discomfort simply because it’s time for you to heal them. You can do this a number of ways. One way is to Self-author your archetypes. It’s a facilitated journaling exercise that reveals the stories you tell about your life. It views you as inherently good and separate from your archetypes and therefore, your problems. Self-authoring allows you to frame and reframe your experiences in a way that empowers you to be Self-led.

Your broken archetypes just want to be made whole. You can begin to heal your broken archetypes by Self-authoring them. Your efforts to heal your broken archetypes becomes your contribution to the evolution of archetypes within the collective unconscious.
