Everyone needs boundaries to protect themselves.
Boundaries come in many forms. There are emotional and mental boundaries that you erect to protect your psychological wellbeing. Spiritual and psychic boundaries are designed to protect your life force. Emotional boundaries help protect your psychological wellbeing, while financial boundaries, like investments and savings, protect your ability to survive and thrive.
Financial boundaries, in the form of investments, insurance and savings protect your ability to survive and your capacity to thrive. Financial boundaries also support your physical boundaries; your physical health, safety and security, clothes and shoes that you wear and the roof over your head.
The second chakra, also known as the Sacral Chakra, provides clues to the state of your personal boundaries. This chakra is associated with your emotions, creativity, and sexuality. When your second chakra is balanced, you feel secure in your personal boundaries and are able to express your emotions and creativity freely.
Lacking financial boundaries can lead to financial instability, while lacking emotional boundaries results in emotional distress. You leave yourself wide open and vulnerable to external forces when you try to live your life without the necessary boundaries to support and protect you.
